DEVNET ORGANIZATION

The civil association DEVNET - Development Information Network - is a non-governmental, international, not-for-profit organization based in Rome (Italy).
 
DEVNET is Consultant Category 1 of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).
 
It is a pioneer in the implementation of cooperation projects, creating inter-regional networks for exchange of information for socio-economic development, with emphasis on the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
 
In its 25 years of operation, DEVNET has been supported with funding from the Governments of Italy, Austria and The Netherlands. It has also received assistance from the governments of participating countries for specific projects implemented in Asia, Africa and Latin America, as well as international agencies like UNDP, European Commission, USAID and IDB, among others.
